Ahmad Farah, DPM
Dr. Farah was born and raised Downriver, coming from a medical family. He attended The University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, where he studied biology. He then attended medical school at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. After graduating, he completed a residency in podiatric medicine at Cleveland Clinic, then furthered his post graduate training at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, with focus on forefoot and reconstructive surgery. He returned to Trenton to provide medical services in the community he was raised in and loves.
Dr. Farah is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and has hospital affiliations with Henry Ford Health - Wyandotte, Corewell Health (formerly Beaumont-Trenton), and Henry Ford Health Center - Brownstown. Dr. Farah specializes in reconstructive surgery, pediatrics, diabetic limb salvage and sports medicine. Ahmad Farah, DPM has served as residency director at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital and serves as core teaching faculty at Corewell Health , where he trains future podiatric surgeons, a role that provides an opportunity to stay current with new treatment modalities. He also serves as a board member for the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association, where he is now Immediate Past President. Active membership in the American Podiatric Medical Association and various civic organizations.
Hemant Patel, DPM
Dr. Patel is originally from India. He grew up in Michigan where he attended Michigan State University for his undergraduate degree in Science – Human Biology. He earned his medical degree from Kent State University, College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency training at Beaumont Hospital in Trenton.
Dr. Patel has extensive experience in podiatry with special interest in forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery. He has attended several conferences such as Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy, International External Fixation Symposium w/ Cadaver lab, and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Suturing Workshop to master his surgical skills. He is an active member of various organizations such as American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, and American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Patel has also authored articles in podiatric journals.
Dr. Patel lives in Canton, MI with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, traveling, and exercising. He is conversant in Gujarati and Hindi. He is very excited to be part of Farah Podiatry and is proud to work with such a fantastic team of practitioners.
Lealy Muhammad, DPM
Dr. Muhammad’s training started at the University of Memphis where her studies focused on Biology and a minor in Chemistry, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. She then attended Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio, earning a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine in 2020, followed by completing a three-year residency at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.
She also enjoyed the duties and responsibilities she was able to fulfill as Chief Resident during her third year of training. She maintains professional memberships with the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association.
As a podiatric surgical specialist, Dr. Muhammad is affiliated with Corewell Health (formerly Beaumont Trenton Hospital) and Henry Ford Health Wyandotte. Her specialty interests are foot & ankle surgery, advanced wound care techniques, sports medicine, and injury evaluation and treatment. Dr. Muhammad understands the importance of foot health and prevention; she loves treating and educating her patients on foot and ankle issues. Dr. Muhammad aims to provide the best patient-centered care here at Farah Podiatry Associates. When she is not treating patients, she is spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors.
Anas Atallah, DPM
Dr. Atallah traveled alone to Michigan from overseas at age 15 to pursue an education in the medical field. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wayne State University in Detroit and then completed his medical education at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. After receiving his medical degree, he went on to complete a three-year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with the added credential of Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, where he was also appointed the position of Chief Resident.
Dr. Atallah's residency experience included the full spectrum, ranging from conservative care to complex limb deformity in both the pediatric and geriatric populations. He has extensive knowledge and surgical experience in sports medicine, trauma, Achilles repair, forefoot and rearfoot/ankle reconstructive surgery, Diabetic Charcot deformity, as well as minimally invasive endoscopic and arthroscopic procedures in the foot/ankle.
Dr. Atallah lives in and enjoys serving the Downriver community. He also participates in many educational labs, where he gets to enhance the surgical skills of young residents from Henry Ford Health Wyandotte and Corewell Health Trenton. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Atallah is an active young speaker for the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
